Red Cross's Rouge Royale Fundraiser is coming up

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, Wa. - This Friday, June 29th, the local American Red Cross will host one of its biggest fundraisers of the year, "Rouge Royale."

This is the third annual event for the Benton Franklin Red Cross, and this year's theme is "Alice in Wonderland."

Nationally, the Red Cross is low on both bloods and funding. Due to the high number of recent local fires, the Benton Franklin chapter is hoping the fundraiser will help replenish finances for the start of the new fiscal year.

Jeanne Jelke, the Executive Director of the Benton Franklin Red Cross, said "It is an important opportunity for us to showcase some of the work the Red Cross does and also get support from people in the community who like to have a good time and want to support a good cause."

The event will include a wine and appetizer reception, silent and live auctions, and a four course dinner by Dave Martin from the Bravo TV show, "Top Chef."

The 2012 Rouge Royale will be at the Moore Mansion, at 220 N Road 34 in Pasco, on Friday, June 29th from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

It's open to the public, but tickets are required. Tickets are $150 per person, or $250 for per couple. Tickets are still on sale through Wednesday, to purchase tickets call (509) 783-6195 or click here.
