Hermiston Police caught one, looking for the other

HERMISTON, Wash. - The Hermiston Police Department is searching for 28 year old Richard Correa.

Around 3 PM on Sunday, officers were called out to the Theatre Sports Park in Hermiston. A citizen reported that 2 men had stolen their 2007 Chrysler Town and Country minivan.

Police caught up with the two men near E Elm Avenue and Stoddard Lane, but both ran away from the scene. The owner of the van got hold of one man, a 15 year old from Hermiston, but the other got away. Police believe that man is Correa. 

The 15 year old was taken to Good Shepherd Hospital for injuries that occurred during the struggle with the van owner, he was later released to Hermiston Police Department. Police say he is now at the juvenile detention facility in Pendleton, facing charges of Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle, Unlawful Entry to a Motor Vehicle, Theft in the Third Degree, Possession of Less than an Ounce of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Hermiston Police say Richard Correa was last listed living at 750 E Cassen Court, Hermiston. Correa is well known to the Hermiston Police Department, with 5 arrests and 27 charges in the last year.  Correa currently has warrants for his arrest out of the Hermiston Municipal Court and the Hermiston Circuit Courts.
