Fever says extra days off should help against Wichita

PASCO, Wash. -- The Tri-Cities Fever now has its opponent in the Intense Conference Finals. It is the Wichita Wild, who beat the Allen Wranglers Monday night, 43 to 40.

Wichita lost its first four games of the season, but has now won nine of its past eleven. The Fever, having played last Friday, has two extra days rest on the Wild. They say that should help give them an edge on Friday.

"You know we didn't know who we were playing until last night. So we earned the right to have home games. We don't have to travel, they do and maybe that's an advantage. But we don't control when the games are played," said Adam Shackleford, Fever head coach.

"Yes I do think it gives us an edge. Having the weekend, having a break we get the rest and watch more film and stuff like that. So it does give us a good edge on them," cornerback Lionell Singleton added.
