More motorcycles on the road during summer months

KENNEWICK, Wash.- The summer months always see a spike in deadly motorcycle crashes.

In the last two weeks we've covered four.

About a dozen riders were at the DMV in Kennewick Thursday, hoping to get their endorsements.

The motorcyclists we talked to say they are very aware of the dangers.

In fact, they all said they have either crashed or know someone who has.

"I mean everyone's got to look out for themselves on the road of course. But they also need to be aware of their surroundings as well," says Marcus McCoy.

"She seemed like she saw me, but then she didn't when I got close to her and I didn't have time to slow down. She pulled out right in front of me," says Robert Daly.

"Just be cautious, always be checking your mirrors. Because you never know. There could be a 50cc scooter right in your blind spot and you wouldn't even know it, and side swipe him and take him out," says Trevor Schaffner.

The riders we talked to say as the weather gets warmer more bikes will be on the road. They say they hope drivers will be watching for them.
