RICHLAND, Wash.- Officials are issuing a safety reminder about the construction on George Washington Way in Richland.
They say it's imperative for drivers to be aware of other drivers, work crews and obey all traffic rules.
The Richland Police Department has increased their traffic safety awareness in the construction zone with an emphasis on illegal left turns.
Crews are working to finish installation of the underground fiber and power conduit work for the east side. Crews will continue placing base rock back into the utility trench.
The Contractor will also be placing curb and gutter between Swift and Knight.
Also, the Contractor will be installing irrigation lines and tree wells along the sidewalks for the new tree plantings. The trees themselves will not be planted until sometime between October 1st and November 15th.
