Yakima celebrates the Fourth

Posted: Updated:

Yakima, WASH.--The Fourth of July carnival in Yakima is well underway.

Haworth Family Shows has been running the carnival since 1995. They brought back peoples favorite carnival foods like corn dogs, cotton candy and fries. But they've also added some new attractions to the mix this year.

Maurice Haworth, president of Haworth Family Shows, said "This year we brought back a ride that hasn't been here for a while, the Spider. It's one of the rides that they really like and this year it was available so we brought it back here to Yakima."

The carnival will run all week with the exception of Monday, July 2nd and Thursday, July 5th.

Admission on the Fourth of July is free and people are invited to watch a firework show from the fairgrounds at 10pm.
