Cell phone robbery

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Kennewick Police are investigating a robbery from over the weekend. 

Officers say just before 1 o'clock on Saturday afternoon, Abdelsalam Mustafamohamed was in his car in a parking lot on the 600 block of Kent, when 24-year-old Abraham P. Thoual of Kennewick walked up to Mustafamohamed, ripped his glasses off his face and punched him in the face.

Police say Thoual took Mustafamohamed's cell phone and threatened to kill him if he told anyone. 

Mustafamohamed told police that he recognized Thoual from mutual friends, but that he doesn't know the motivation for the crime.

On Sunday, officers say Thoual near 7th Place and Olympia and booked him into the Benton County Jail for a 72 hour investigative hold. Thoual is facing first degree robbery, felony harassment, and destruction of property charges.
