Sunken Boat Recovered at Hood Park

BURBANK, Wash. - It took just about four hours, but crews at Hood Park managed to recover the sunken boat around 8 tonight in the Snake River.

It's the same boat that 14-year-old Timmy Bowden was on before he drowned over a week ago.

the Walla Walla County Sheriff's Office and the Columbia Basin Dive and Rescue Team hit the water around 4:15pm.

Experts will examine the boat to try and determine what happened and why it sank.

"We will take a look at the physical evidence that has been recovered, and couple that with statements that have been made and forward the report to the prosecutor's office," says Sheriff John Turner.

Sheriff Turner says because of the ongoing death investigation, he can't go into specific details about the evidence.
