Fourth of July Fireworks Celebrations

YAKIMA, Wash.-- Communities across the nation will hold their own official fireworks displays tonight.

They're a safe way for people who want to watch some fireworks on the holiday without the risk of starting a fire. Here's a quick look at some of these events happening in our area.

Yakima's fireworks display is happening at State Fair Park once again this year. The show starts at 10 tonight. There's also a carnival happening all day long on the fairgrounds.

Zillah is holding their annual fireworks show in Stewart Park at sundown.

Prosser is holding its celebration in City Park. The fireworks there will start at around 10 tonight.

The Tri Cities has its 26th Annual River of Fire Festival running all day today in Columbia Park. Fireworks start tonight at dusk.

Pasco will also hold its Grand Old 4th fireworks show at 10 in Gesa Stadium tonight. The gates will open at 8:30.

Walla Walla is having their celebration at Walla Walla Community College around 9:45.
