Downtown Pasco packed for Grand Old Fourth Parade

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, Wash. -- The streets of Pasco were filled with people Wednesday morning for the Grand Old Fourth Parade. It started at 3rd and Marie, and went all the way down to Memorial Park.

The parade included lots of kids, candy, floats, American Flags and vintage cars. Longtime Pasco resident and community leader Neal Smiley was this year's Grand Marshal.

Besides all the fun, some people celebrated Independence Day for a different reason. "My parents were immigrants and the parade shows all the reasons they came clear across the ocean from Italy to be united states citizens," says Leona Inglima, who also volunteers at Lourdes and had a great seat for the show.

The Grand Old Fourth Fireworks show will be at Gesa Stadium. The gates open at 8:30pm, and the show starts at 10:00pm. Admission is free.
