Kennewick house built out of only American products
KENNEWICK, Wash.-- A new house in Kennewick was built almost entirely with American made products.
Ninety-nine percent of the products are from the U.S. and only minor pieces within the materials are foreign. Titan Homes hopes their project can inspire others to keep the money here in the U.S. to help manufacturers and the economy.
The builder, Aaron Sullivan, says it's the first home in the Tri-Cites to be built with only American made pieces.
"We hope that at least some people will be inspired to maybe look at the packaging a little bit more and see where it comes from and if there's an alternative that is cost effective, that's reasonably the same price, you choose the American made product over the foreign made product," says Sullivan.
Saturday there was an open house that drew many hundreds to see the home. They've already gotten a couple interested buyers.
