OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) - Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jay Inslee is using his first campaign ad to introduce himself to Washington voters.
Inslee's minute-long spot began airing on Sunday on television networks statewide. His campaign declined to say how much it planned to spend on the ad. The ad is dedicated mostly to tracking Inslee's biography, from meeting his wife in high school to how he voted in Congress.
He ends the ad by talking about jobs, saying he believes in the power of innovation to create new ones. Republican candidate Rob McKenna has not aired any ads yet. Ballots for the august primary will be mailed at the end of next week.
