Fever practicing with utmost intensity as United Bowl nears

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, Wash. -- Monday the Tri-Cities Fever started their final week of practice. The Intense Conference champions are gearing up for the United Bowl.

It is a rematch of last year's title game with the undefeated Sioux Falls Storm. The Fever lost that game 37 to 10. The Storm also beat the Fever twice this season. Tri-Cities says it is focused and ready to raise the intensity at practice.

"We realize this is the last week together whether we win or lose and as sad as it is I'm glad we are here. Everybody else is glad we're here and we realize the seriousness of the situation so everybody is tuned in and focused and real positive towards each other," Fever quarterback Houston Lillard said.

"Everybody is looking to be in-sync, not just for this game but ultimately this will be our last week together too playing the games. So right now everybody is on their P's and Q's," added Dennis Kennedy, Fever running back.

The game is this Saturday night in Sioux Falls.
