RICHLAND, Wash.-- The Tri-Cities Gay Pride weekend came to a close Sunday with a brunch at the Uptown Restaurant in Richland.
This year was focused on family friendly events that attracted all ages and many business supporters. Organizer, Chris Oar, says this year was the most successful they've ever had and they're grateful for the positive community response.
"Bigger and better. The response we got that people want more. We seemed to tap into what the community was looking for this year in our event," says Oar.
Oar says she spoke with many people who said they didn't know the event existed locally and after this weekend they plan on returning next year.
