Expo promotes healthy work environment

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Promoting a healthy lifestyle and work environment was the topic of Wednesday's "Good health is good business expo in Kennewick.

Health care professionals and representatives from workout and fitness companies filled up the three rivers convention center this afternoon.

The event was sponsored by the Tri-Cities Regional Chamber of Commerce to encourage employers to create a healthy work environment.

John Rhode, who won the 12th season of the biggest loser was there to inspire everyone in attendance.

"I hope that I can understand that there is a way out, you don't have to constantly go to the drive thru, you can go and shop for healthy foods and be prepared."

To promote the good health theme, the luncheon menu included chicken and vegetarian options.
