Dairy Queen helps raise money for Children's Miracle Network

Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, Wash.-- You still have a chance to give money to the Children's Miracle Network tonight by buying a blizzard.

Dairy Queens across the country will donate at least one dollar toward the organization for every blizzard sold today. The organization raises money to save and improve the lives of kids at children's hospitals. Last year, our area collected over $16,000.

"Everybody knows they're working these long days and they're making these blizzards and they know that the funds raised are going to go help the kids... The sick kids in our community that really need help," says local Children's Miracle Network Coordinator Wendy King.

If you don't want to get a blizzard you can buy a Children's Miracle Network balloon. Dairy Queen will also donate a dollar for every person who RSVPs on the event's Facebook page, here.
