Mudslide Damages Water System in Weston, Oregon

WESTON, Ore. - The Mayor of the city of Weston has declared a state of emergency after a mudslide damaged a city water line. There is no word on the cause of the slide that happened at 6:12am. City crews have been activated and are working on the problem. The 12 inch line from the water tower to the city has been damaged. The water tower itself is still safe and operational. Until the water line is repaired the city will be without water. We will keep you posted as more information becomes available. The City of Weston has an approximate population of 750 people, with over 300 water accounts.
