Water Follies clean up starts right away

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash., -- The excitement of Water Follies left its mark on Columbia Park this weekend.

Early this morning crews began emptying hundreds of dumpsters, garbage cans and recycling bins. Volunteers also began tearing down tents, bleachers and the almost seven miles of fencing. Water Follies board member Todd Blackman says their cleanup crews waste no time getting started.

"Well you know we worked last night till dark and we started again early this morning, around seven o'clock and I hope to be out of the park before it gets good and hot." said Blackman

People with metal detectors also showed up looking for lost items. If you believe you lost valuables at the Water Follies contact the Water Follies office.
