Lamb Weston Makes Donation To Second Harvest in Pasco

PASCO, Wash. -- Lamb Weston made a donation to 2nd Harvest at their manufacturing center in Pasco this morning.

The donation comes after employees recently collected 36,000 pounds of food in a food drive for local food banks. Over the past decade, ConAgra Foods Lamb Weston has donated more than 5 million pounds of food to 2nd Harvest.

"To have partners like ConAgra Foods for us, we just need those more and more to face the hunger situation that we have here in Eastern Washington," Rob Wieber of 2nd Harvest believes.

"Unfortunately there are folks out there that may not know where their next meal is coming from and 2nd harvest is a great organization not only here in the Tri-Cities but worldwide and we want to support their efforts," says Marty Bertsch of ConAgra Foods Lamb Weston.

2nd Harvest feeds more than 40,000 people a week in 21 counties throughout Eastern Washington.
