Fatal Yakima Shooting UPDATE

Yakima police say two men died after a shooting earlier this afternoon.

Police responded to reports of a gunshots at around 4:30 this afternoon near the Yakima Greenway entrance at 16th avenue and Highway 12.

When they arrived they found two teenagers with gunshots wounds. 18-year-old Jobany Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the second victim, and unidentified 17-year-old male, was pronounced dead an a local hospital.

Police detained 4 suspects and later arrested 19-year-old Lameiro Efren Flores and took him to the Yakima Police Department. After interviews with detectives, Flores was booked into the Yakima County Jail. He will face murder charges for the shooting deaths of both men.

YAKIMA, Wash. - Yakima Police were called to the Greenway parking lot at 16th and Highway 12 at about 4:25 this afternoon after getting reports that somebody had been shot.  When officers arrived they found one victim with at least one gunshot wound, and then were pointed toward another person who had been shot.   Police say one of the victims died, and the other was taken to an area hospital.  No word on their condition.  Officers have detained several people, and are still investigating.
