KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. - Kittitas County and the Cities of Ellensburg, Cle Elum, and the Town of South Cle Elum have begun the process of developing a regional Shoreline Master Program.

In conjunction with the regional SMP update, Kittitas County formed a Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) for its Critical Areas Ordinance (CAO).  TAC will help focus technical discussions and identify technical and policy issues.

The Shoreline Master Program and CAO Technical Advisory Committee will hold its fifth meeting on August 10, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at the Ellensburg City Council Chambers, 501 N. Anderson St., Ellensburg, WA.

Future meetings are scheduled for September 14, November 9, and December 14.  All meetings will be held at the same location and begin at 9:00 a.m.

The public is encouraged to attend the meetings and address the TAC with thoughts and ideas.  Materials to be discussed at the meetings will be available on the County website and for up to ten minutes will be provided at the beginning of each meeting for public comment.  The public will also be encouraged to submit written comments to the County, Cities/Town and/or the TAC.
