Traffic Safety Radar Trailer ready to hit the streets

KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Benton County Sheriff Department says the Traffic Radar Safety Trailer is now back in service.

Wednesday morning the Sheriff's office honored five local businesses for their contributions towards redoing the trailer.

Deputies say without Perfect Shape Customs, Federal Auto Parts-House of Paint, Perfection Tire and Automotive, Fast Signs, and Bones Art Custom Motorcycle Artistry, the trailer wouldn't have survived its wear and tear.

Benton County Sheriff Steve Keane says, "All the efforts that go into this, I'm really thankful because we don't always have to the budget to be able to keep our equipment up the way we'd like to, and they've really gone above and beyond with this project right here."

This was the first makeover for the trailer since it hit the streets in 1995. Traffic deputies took it out of commission in January of this year to begin this project.
