KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Most people would say development is good. But apparently, not all development.

In Kennewick's Southridge area, there's already a park, new restaurant's, and soon, a new hospital.

Copper Ridge apartments is a new complex taking shape, but some of the neighbors are a little concerned about it.

They argue the starting price for an apartment which is $657 dollars is pretty low. They're concerned those low rates may bring all types of people into their neighborhood.

"Something new comes into a neighborhood and you just don't know all of the facts, you're always concerned. You got to be concerned when something new comes in," explains Tracy Phillips, a real estate agent who has heard a lot of complaints and concerns from homeowners.

The managers of Copper Ridge apartments say their goal is to provide luxury lifestyle at a low cost.

Managers add four families have already moved in and expect to move in more when the other units are complete.
