Buena, WASH--The 16-year old boy who drowned in Buena Pond Monday has been identified as Jorge Torres.
The Yakima County Sheriff's Office found his body around 4:30 p.m. Friday.
The sheriff's office said canine dogs pointed them to a different area than they had previously been looking.
A man from Arlington, Washington gave the sheriff's office a special robotic underwater vehicle to help with the search. The device has special camera and sonar capabilities, and was able to find the exact location of the body.
"The young men that were with him that we interviewed initially actually were pinpointing us out in the right direction," said Sergeant George Town of the Yakima County Sheriff's Office. "It's just that the depth perception, the length out into the pond was way off."
The sheriff's office said no foul play is suspected.
