KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Employees from Bechtel, URS, and WTP came out Saturday to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity's Garden Court properties.

About thirty volunteers worked on three houses on S. Jean Pl. in Kennewick. They put in dry wall, flooring and did ground preparations.

Volunteer Michaela Trenidad, says the companies want to encourage their workers to be involved in the community.

"Come together for community projects. Make a difference in the community and helping to build a home for someone in need is the best way we could think of to do that today," says Trenidad.

The Texas Roadhouse restaurant heard about the event and helped out by providing lunch.
