Americans Announce 2012-13 Rookie Camp Roster and Schedule

KENNEWICK, WA – Tri-City Americans' Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced today the team's roster for next week's rookie camp.

This year's rookie camp will be highlighted by the appearance of all 11 players drafted by Tri-City in the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft and 7 of the 11 players from the Americans' 2011 draft class.  There will also be a team record 16 U.S. prospects at this year's camp, including 9 from California, 4 from Washington, including Richland-native Casey Kaiser, 2 from Colorado and 1 from Arizona.

      The Tri-City Americans (2-1-1-0, 4 pts) never led against the Kamloops Blazers (0-5-0-0, 0 pts) until the third period, as Beau McCue’s third period tally was the difference as the Americans won 4-3 in front of 3,195 at the Sandman Centre on Wednesday night.

      The Tri-City Americans started the game with five goals, followed by the Seattle Thunderbirds (1-1-1-0, 3 pts) scoring five goals to even the score.       Tri-City Americans’ Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced Friday that 20-year-old forward Beau McCue has been named Team Captain, along with teammates Brandon Carlo, Parker Wotherspoon, Parker Bowles and Taylor Vickerman named assistant captains for the upcoming 2015-16 season.

      The Tri-City Americans have traded forward Ty Comrie to the Vancouver Giants for a conditional third round draft pick in next year's WHL Bantam Draft.
