White Swan, WASH.--Officers are looking for the driver in a hit and run accident that sparked a 60-acre brush fire Sunday night in White Swan.

Firefighters responded to a one-car crash on Wesley Road around 8:30 p.m.

The vehicle ran into a power pole, sheering off some of the pole and starting a fire.

Firefighters said the flames were headed toward a home, but crews were able to contain the blaze.

The driver of the car left the scene, but firefighters said the police have a good description of the vehicle.

Deputy Chief Kevin Frazier of Yakima County Fire District 5, said, "{The driver was} Maybe under the influence, just may not have had a drivers license, or just had been scared, I don't know. But at least we got the fire knocked out, nobody got hurt and that was the most important thing."

It took five different fire departments three hours to put the fire out.

Firefighters said only a couple fence posts sustained any property damage.

Tribal Police refused to comment about the accident.
