HANFORD, Wash. -- The Hanford Falcons football season opens eight days from now against Chiawana.
Last season the Falcons lost six of their final seven games. They finished the season three and seven. However the Falcons return nearly all of their skilled position players in 2012, including quarterback Austin Forsyth. Hanford says last year is a thing of the past.
"All our best players are back and that gives you great confidence. We did play some sophomores at key positions last year and it's very difficult for a sophomore to succeed in the Big Nine," head coach Rob Oram said.
"So far I'm seeing a lot of guys who went through a lot last season together so we have a lot of experience coming back and I see us bonding really good as a team. I feel like we should do great things this season," added Joe Douglas, defensive lineman.
