Crew pilot says his dog was stolen

Zillah, WASH.--A community is searching for a missing dog that was stolen outside a bar in Zillah.

Jason Tollefson spends a lot of his time working on helicopters for a government contractor in Afghanistan. When he's back home, time with his dog is special.

He was inside Stone-Henge Bar on First Avenue when his car was broken into nearly a week ago.

Tollefson said he went to check on his boxer around midnight when he noticed his car door wide open.

He said his stereo and amplifier were gone, and his dog, named Baby, was nowhere to be found.

"If she was just kicked out of the car, she'd of gone back there when I started my vehicle up," said Tollefson. "She would of coming running back."

Posters are being hung all around town, and the family is offering a $500 reward for the dog's safe return.

Tollefson was in Yakima Friday following up on some tips where Baby might have been spotted, but it turned out not to be her.

Nine other vehicles were broken into that night.
