PASCO, Wash. - A former Pasco man accused of trying to kill his mother in law was in Franklin County District Court Wednesday morning.
Prosecutors asked Judge Cameron Mitchell to reconsider the decision he made last week that statements Stuart made after his arrest cannot be used in court. But the judge reaffirmed his decision, citing a video of the interrogation where Stuart made it clear he wanted an attorney. The Judge said the interview should have ended at that point. He also denied the prosecution's request to delay the start of the trial.
A hearing will be held before the September 10th trial to decide whether Stuart's daughter should be allowed to testify.
