PASCO, Wash. -- The Pasco Bulldogs started 0-9 last season before winning their final game of the year against North Central. Head Coach Dustin Lamb enters his fourth year as Pasco head coach. The Bulldogs are still in rebuilding mode, with a 7-21 record the last three seasons, but Pasco feels it is heading in the right direction, and thinks it could sneak up on some teams in 2012.
"I think a lot of people are doubting us this year. I feel like we're the sleeper team this year. I mean we got a lot of senior leadership and a lot of people stepping up. Young guys just coming up that never stepped up before. So I think we're going to be a real big sleeper team this year," running back Luis Murillo said.
"Well we tend to focus on the process and I think the process with creating depth is something that we've really focused on because we were one and nine last year but we lost three or four games by a point here, a point there, an overtime loss. So if we could have had a little more depth and finished those out, we feel like that's where we want to be this year," Lamb added.
