RICHLAND, Wash.-- Music lovers alert. The Tumbleweed Music Festival will be taking over Howard Amon Park in Richland this weekend.

The 16th year of the festival kicks off Friday night at 6:30.

More than one hundred performances are planned, covering all types of acoustic music, from folk to blue grass and jazz. The event typically attracts around seven thousand people.

"Have some fun in the park, relax, listen to good music. It's a very personable festival so you can get to meet the musicians, talk to them and have a chance to just kind of hang out in a very informal setting, but hear very professional music," says Terry Andre.

Ninety-six of the one hundred performances are free. The event also includes arts and crafts and food vendors. The festival continues through the weekend ending Sunday night at 11pm.
