The first full week of high school football was a dandy, with several big scores and some impressive non-conference victories.

Coeur d'Alene topped the charts with an impressive performance against a good West Linn team from Oregon. The Vikings dominated the game from the outset, beating the Lions 58-20.

In the Greater Spokane League, Mead came out firing on all cylinders, beating University 43-10. North Central scored 18 points but lost to Mt. Spokane 35-18.

The high score of the night belonged to Wellpinit, with a 72-20 win over St. John-Endicott.
