Richland's Tumbleweed Festival gets good turnout

Posted: Updated:

RICHLAND, Wash.-- The Tumbleweed Festival in Richland is in it's final day and organizers are happy with the turnout.

Last night's concert had hundreds more people than last year. Event organizers say they think attendance will surpass seven thousand this year. Many artists and performers continue to come back each year to the folk festival.

"The people treat the musicians here so well. The hospitality is great. They find host families for us to spend the night with. Those are some of the great relationships that we have over the years and why we keep coming back," says Matthew Moeller, musician.

The festival goes until 11pm Sunday night at Howard Amon Park, ending with Contra Dance inside the Richland Community Center.
