Honey Princess Stops by 3rd Grade Classrooms

WEST RICHLAND, Wash.

Some West Richland 3rd graders had a sweet lesson plan Thursday.

The American Beekeeping Federation honey princess stopped by Tapteal Elementary School Thursday afternoon.

Danielle Dale helped kids understand the connection between bees and plant life. She says the kids love getting to see the science first hand.

"They're generally really excited to see it, they want to know more about bees. Honey bees work so hard, they only live about 6 weeks in the summer time, cause they work so hard. Kids are just so fascinated by that and of course, honey," said Dale.

Dale's visits are sponsored by the Mid-Columbia Beekeepers Association.
