Burglar Sentenced To Ten Years In Prison

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. - Dean Blackford, 50, was sentenced to 120 months in prison on Friday for the following crimes:

  • 15 counts of Residential Burglary
  • 1 count of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm
  • 1 count of Trafficking In Stolen Property
 
The Spokane County Sheriff's Office Investigative Task Force investigated multiple crimes Blackford was responsible for.  On April 5th, 2012, Blackford burglarized a residence on South Valley Chapel Road where three sisters hid in a bedroom when Blackford broke into their home and stole several items.  Blackford was sentenced in Judge Cozza's courtroom today. 
 
Due to the aggravating circumstances involving the burglary where the sisters hid from Blackford, he pled to an exceptional sentence of ten years for his crimes.
