Pendleton Round-Up Wraps up with big crowds

Posted: Updated:

PENDLETON, Ore.  - The Pendleton Round-Up named their champions in front of a soldout crowd today. Bobby Moate came into the day as points leader in bareback riding and left as champion. In the always popular bullriding competition, Parker Breding bucked his way to the top spot. The Round-Up completed an $8.5 million stadium upgrade in 2010, which draws spectators and cowboys alike.

"Today we have a sellout crowd on Saturday. We were really strong all the other days. We're probably on track to reach oh within five percent of what that crowd was in 2010 for our centennial. So full house lot's of energy in there today," said Randy Thomas, Pendleton Round-Up Public Relations Director.

"You know, I think it's just the prestige of it. You know it's an old, old rodeo and you know they give away awesome prizes, everybody wants to come to the Pendleton Round-Up," said Cody Wright, 2010 Pendleton Round-Up Champion.
