Yakima, WASH.--Yakima police are investigating a shooting that left two men wounded in the street early Monday morning.
Police said they responded to a report of several gunshots around midnight at the 400 Block of West D Street.
Police said two Hispanic men were shot and were lying in the street.
One 33-year old man was shot in the torso. Another 30-year old man was shot in the upper thigh.
A woman living in a nearby apartment building said bullets went right though her walls and into the kitchen and children's playroom.
She said her children were watching television in the living room, but her son had been in the playroom just minutes before bullets ripped through the walls.
"I had told him to go in the playroom, like maybe not even 15 minutes before that, to shut the window and lock it," said Helen Perez. "He came and sat down, and after that I went to go lay down and they just started shooting."
Perez said before she heard gunshots, she saw a white car speeding through the alleyway.
Police are currently investigating the incident, but officers said the two victims are not cooperating with the investigation.
