Ellensburg, WASH.--Firefighters battling the Table Mountain Fire near Cle Elum were in a state of transition Tuesday.
They've now set up camp in Ellensburg so they can be closer to the most active part of the fire, which is on the eastern side.
The move will cut out an hour of travel time.
Crews are also working with firefighters from the Wenatchee Complex since the two fires have officially merged, creating a 90,000 acre fire.
However, firefighters said this is a good thing.
Fire Information Officer, Jim Whittington, said, "If we didn't then that would leave green between the two fires, and it would expose firefighters to greater risk having to go in and put a line between them."
The Table Mountain Fire is still 10 percent contained, and evacuation levels remain the same.
