Americans focus on themselves, not opponents

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Tri-City Americans struggled in their season opening weekend, they were outscored 9-4. The Americans are not worrying about the Everett Silvertips at home on Thursday. Instead, they're focusing on making sure every American plays well, and hard.

"It's kind of a rough start but it's easy to turn that a round with a couple wins, get some confidence back. And start carrying ourselves with a little more confidence, obviously," said Tyson Dallman, Americans Forward.

"Whoever it is coming in ,we have to get this team straight and focus our attention on this team. And then whoever we play, certainly we want them to react to us rather than us reacting to them," said Jim Hiller, Americans Head Coach.
