KENNEWICK, Wash.- Two men who lost their wives to ovarian cancer are encouraging women to learn more about the disease through their center and foundation.

The Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research with support from the Wanda Jankelson Foundation for Health Care and Research will be hosting a free seminar Saturday from 1pm- 4pm at the Three Rivers Convention Center.

Founder of the Wanda Jankleson Foundation, Roland Jankleson lost his wife of 48 years to the disease.

Jankleson says, "I just want to do what I can to help other ladies and families.  And hopefully not deal with the grief that I deal with everyday."

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Washington women suffer the highest incidence of ovarian cancer in the country.

According to the Rivkin Center, nearly 85% of all ovarian cases are diagnosed in advanced stages and the survival rate for advanced stages is only 10%.

However, if diagnosed in the early stages,  the survival rate increases to 90%.
