KENNEWICK, Wash.-- The Richland Kennel Club's 78th Annual Fall Dog Show came to a close Sunday at Columbia Park in Kennewick.

Around five hundred people showed their dogs and over one hundred seventy different breeds were shown. Nearly one thousand dogs registered for the event.

On Friday, there was a special show for only Cardigan Welsh Corgis. On Saturday and Sunday all breeds were shown.

"I enjoy this dog show because it has a Cardigan Welsh Corgi specialty, which are my babies and my breed. There's about fifty to sixty Cardigans all over the place and I just love it," says Micki Short who showed her Cardigan Welsh Corgi named Opal.

The junior competitors could win scholarship money if their dogs place in the competitions.
