GNAC honors CWU defense for shutting down Humboldt State

ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- The GNAC honored Central Washington cornerback Isaiah Davis. He is the defensive player of the week. In the win over Humboldt State, Davis made 10 tackles and deflected three passes. Head coach Blaine Bennett credits the entire defense for limiting the Lumberjacks to three points.

"I think Malik Roberson, our defensive coordinator, and defensive staff put a nice game plan together. Our players executed it to perfection. They made some big plays in the red zone. Once again, Cedrique Cheney comes up with a big pass deflection in the end zone. Corey Burke, our safety, ran around and hit people all day long, played with a lot of energy and enthusiasm," Bennett said.
