TACOMA, Wash.- More than 200 people stand to lose their jobs at Tacoma City Hall. The city manager says the city must cut the positions to help close a $63 million gap in next year's budget.

City Manager T.C. Broadnax delivered the grim news Tuesday to the city council with his $396 million spending plan.

Broadnax also proposes the city impose a $20 car license tax to fill the budget gap.

The city will hold public hearings on the proposals before the city council adopts a final budget in December.
