UPDATE: 2 Children hit by Car in Yakima

YAKIMA, Wash. - Two brothers, ages 10 and 11, were on their way to school Monday morning in Yakima when they were struck by a car.

Police say the 10-year-old was critically injured and has been taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with multiple fractures and head injuries.

Police say the boys had just stepped out of their home and were drawing in the condensation on the family car when the accident happened. The boys fell under the car and were dragged nearly 80 feet before a neighbor was able to get the attention of the driver to stop.

The driver was jailed for investigation of vehicular assault. Police say drugs or alcohol may have been involved.

YAKIMA, Wash. - Yakima Police are investigating an accident where two children were hit by a car early Monday morning.

Police say the two kids were hit around 8:00am on Rock Avenue near W. King Street.

The two children were taken by ambulance to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Police say they have the driver in custody. No names have been released.
