KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Northwest Cancer Clinic is asking for applicants for a writing contest for breast cancer awareness month.
They're asking for four to eight hundred word personal stories explaining why an individual deserves the award. The winner gets a $500 cash prize and the person they write about will also win another $500. Doctors really want this to be a story about a personal experience.
"Gives their own personal recollections and thoughts, humorous, serious, sad. Just relate to what they were going through," said, Richard Giever, Radiation Oncologist for The Northwest Clinic.
submissions for the contest need to be in by October thirty-first. The winner will be announced on Nov. 15.
Stories can be submitted at contest@nwcancerclinic.com
