RICHLAND, Wash. - Amazon employees helped put a fresh coat of a paint on the Northwest Regional Food Hub storage room Tuesday afternoon.

The Hub sells locally grown food and is operated by volunteers. Patty Hamilton is one of those regular volunteers. She said these kind of community service days are helpful.

"We always have lots of work that needs to be done. We're looking at some big growth here in the near future. It's all volunteers here. Everybody who wants to get involved are more than welcome to. We always have things that need to be done," Hamilton said.

Amazon reached out to the Hub as part of their "Amazon Cares" program. Wednesday, Home Depot employees will be there to put up some shelves.
