Group putting quilts on Kittitas County barns

Posted: Updated:

ELLENSBURG, Wash. - An Ellensburg group plans to dress up about three-dozen barns in Kittitas County with bright quilts by next spring to create a barn quilt trail - a self-guided tour for tourists.

The group Barn Quilts of Kittitas County says "agri-tourism" will promote local history and businesses.

Quilts have gone up on two barns this fall, so far.

Bark Quilts of Kittitas County is working with barn owners, the county historical museum and 4-H program.
