WALLA WALLA, Wash. - Two gang members are in jail this morning after a drive by shooting early Tuesday morning.

Around 1 AM, Walla Walla Police heard reports of four or five shots fired near Isaacs Avenue and Ash Street. A Walla Walla County Sheriff's deputy found a suspicious car in the area and started following it.

Deputies say a few minutes later, someone inside the car fired three shots into the air.

Walla Walla Police arrested 27 year old Frank Tamayo on investigation of two counts of drive-by shooting and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm.

Officers also arrested 29 year old Mario Deleon on an unrelated warrant. Police say the two gang members had been riding in the backseat of the 2002 Dodge Neon, with two women also inside.
