14-year-old boy injured in possible gang-related shooting

Posted: Updated:

Yakima, WASH.--Yakima Police said they believe Thursday night's shooting on 4th Street was another gang-related incident, and this time the victim was a 14-year-old boy.

Officers went to the 400 block of South 4th Street around 10 p.m. and found the boy lying on the sidewalk.

He told officers he was walking home when a man wearing all black shot at him.

Police said he was hit in the groin area, but his injuries don't appear to be life threatening.

Neighbors said they're not surprised this happened. They said crime happens frequently in that neighborhood.
